The last time I hiked the trail to the Old Man of Storr; it was raining hard and I lost my debit card. So with the sun high, as it gets, in the winter sky and card secure in my zippered pocket I set off. As we walked up we met many visitors from particularly Spain, Italy and a few Scots. Winter can a wonderful time of the year to explore Scotland. You can just get lucky! The next day it was raining again; but I still had my card and the memory of a winter walk that will last a lifetime.
